The True Philosopher

When he hears a joke, he says, “I don't understand.” So you explain it to him, line by line. Then he says, “I don't see that it is funny.”

It seems easy when on firm ground to try and be a true philosopher. Easy but a bit boring. However, the question is: does true philosophy help you when standing on a plank above a chasm?
